Digital Marketing cannot be learned unless you do it and the best way to do it is by doing a digital marketing internship. You will find a lot of digital marketing internships on the internet.
But after a lot of research, I have discovered the fact that most of them will involve inviting your friend to like a social media page or promoting some message in WhatsApp/Facebook groups or some activities that won’t help you learn and grow.
Finding a good digital marketing internship program is a challenging task.
There are several digital marketing professionals in the industry who are offering course/internships at a very affordable price and hence a lot of students and professionals get attracted towards them.
But, the digital marketing internship program by Deepak is not just a course. It’s a blend of course plus an internship. As per my research, it is a unique program that not only teaches you digital marketing but also makes you do things practically.
I am writing this review article to help you understand more about the program. I have personally not taken this internship. I get a lot of questions on social media regarding this internship. Hence I thought of writing this article to answer a few commonly asked questions.
Who is Digital Deepak?

Should an MBA student do Digital Deepak Internship?
The answer to this question depends on your profile and aspirations.
If you are already doing a MBA from a decent institute and your target is getting a good job from campus placements, I would recommend you to skip the idea of doing this internship.
Why?
Because you have already paid a lot for the MBA. The MBA program is sufficient enough to equip you with the knowledge that you require to work in the industry. Though your program might or might not have digital marketing as a subject covered but it definitely covers the basics of Marketing.
And if you are a hardworking student, you can learn the digital aspect of marketing by referring to free tutorials and content that is available on the internet.
I would recommend you to do internships with brands and perform so well that you get a PPO or a PPI.

Those tips were for MBA students who are interested in digital marketing and want to secure placements from the campus.
What about the MBA students who wish to start something of their own?
Then I would highly recommend to consider this internship as one of your options.
Why? Because you will not only learn theory but also implement the same. And whether you plan to start anything in today’s world, digital marketing is a must.
I do not claim that this is the only internship that can help you but you can consider it as one of the option.
Especially if you feel that you cannot learn and implement things on your own, you need to try this kind of internship programs.
What about non-MBA students?
Should a student who is pursuing a Bachelors’s Degree do Digital Deepak internship?
Again, the answer remains almost the same as the above answer.
Many of the Bachelor’s degree covers the basics of marketing. But if you are doing some course like BTech or BSc, you would have never studied marketing.
If you are aware of the basic concepts of marketing, then you can leverage it by doing free online courses and starting something on your own.
Start a blog if you are interested in content writing and SEO. Start a social media page if you are interested in social media marketing.
Starting something in the area of your interest always help you learn more. I started this blog to learn digital marketing.
What about guidance?
You have a lot of information freely available on the internet.
But if you feel that you need a mentor and a step by step approach, then you can consider doing this Digital Marketing Internship by Digital Deepak.
Should a working professional do Digital Deepak’s Digital Marketing Internship?
I get a lot of queries from this category of people – People who are already working and are confused how to switch from their existing profession to digital marketing.
Obviously, internships and certifications can help.
But it also depends on your current role and organization.
Let me give you an example.
I recently got a message from someone who has completed her MBA and is right now working in an MNC in the US at a managerial position. This implies she has experience and would be getting a good salary too.
Now, if you also fall in such category then you need to rethink your thoughts about this internship. To be honest, you will not get much benefitted in the shortlisting of your resume or promotions by doing this internship.
It will definitely give you practical knowledge. But imagine you are already working as a manager. You won’t yourself write content or build backlinks. Right?
You will have a team or agency for that. You just need to understand the basics which you can learn from the free courses available.
If you are extremely passionate and want to explore this internship then go ahead.
But if you want to make a switch or get a promotion, I would suggest you to do some executive programs in digital marketing from institutes like MICA, IIMs, etc.
That was for someone who is already established in career and want to explore digital marketing.
What about someone who has just started working or fresh graduates?
You can definitely try out this internship as it will be more feasible for you. It’s a win-win for you as you learn digital marketing too and simultaneously implement things too.
But what if someone is working at a good position and wants to start some startup along with the job?
Again, you can take advantage of this Digital Deepak’s internship program. As you would be doing it for your own venture, it will help you with hands-on.
Whatever you learn and try in this internship, you can implement it for your startup.
What is better – Digital Deepak’s Internship Program or PG Program by MICA, Upgrad?
When I first heard this question, I was shocked. You cannot compare apples with oranges.
Digital Deepak is an individual offering this internship program and sharing his experience.
On the contrary, MICA is one of the finest marketing institutes in India. Not only India, but it is also well known worldwide.
The program that MICA offers in collaboration with Upgrad is a much more detailed program. It is a post-graduate certification program and not an internship.
So, ideally you cannot compare it with this internship program.
Anytime, a program from MICA would be recommended if you have the time, money and passion for it.
Should I do the digital marketing internship program offered by Digital Deepak or courses offered by Sorav Jain, Kulwant Nagi, etc?
Every course or program has its own USP.
The courses/programs offered by Sorav Jain revolve around Instagram and Personal Branding. On the contrary, the course offered by Kulwant Nagi is for aspiring affiliate marketers.
The program offered by Digital Deepak revolves around the basics of all aspects of digital marketing.
You need to take a course as per your aspirations. For example, if you are pretty sure that you want to become an Instagram Influencer than I would not recommend this Digital Deepak’s Internship. I would recommend something that Sorav Jain or Dave Talas offers.
Conclusion
I tried to cover as many questions as possible in this article.
When you Google search for this internship, you will find a lot of articles and paid ads that are run by Digital Deepak’s team or his students.
I neither belong to his team nor his direct student. I am reading his blogs and watching his videos from a lot of years.
Deepak Kanakaraju is a mastermind and the way he promotes this internship program is attention-grabbing.
If you have done this internship program or if you are currently doing it, you can share your positive/negative experiences with me. I will try to include those points in this review article to make it more exhaustive.
Also, if you have any further questions you can reach out to me on my LinkedIn, Instagram or even comment below.
